OUR ACEROLA BUSINESS
The Vitamin C-packed superfood was discovered in Brazil and introduced to Japan in the 1980s. Acerola only grows in Vietnam and Brazil and Nichirei Foods is pioneering factories in both countries. The Nichirei Foods has been in the industry for over 40 years and is the world’s biggest Acerola supplier.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT US?
We have a self-contained “Farm to Product” ecosystem for quality control.
- Acerola trees are well taken care under our own pesticide control system and Japan agricultural technology in farms.
- Our contractual farmers handpick and sort every fruit so you only receive the best to maintain quality.
- The fruit is chilled from the collecting point to the factory.
- In the factory, the fruit is washed and carefully processed into products using our 40 years of experience in producing Acerola business.
- Once frozen, all products are kept in a cold warehouse (-18°C) until they’re ready for delivery to worldwide customers.

In 1984, Nichirei became the first Japanese company to successfully commercialize acerola. As a pioneer in the field of acerola-related business in Japan, we use distinctive methods both to manage acerola cultivation and for related R&D. In this way we are able to ensure that our products are safe and of the highest quality.

High Quality, Rich taste
Go Cong Acerola
The ideal combination of regional soils, tropical climates, local farming practices in the Mekong Delta with Japanese agriculture techniques beautifully bring up the high nutrition and rich taste of Go Cong acerola compared to other regions in Vietnam and in the world.
Nichirei Suco Vietnam put acerola processing plant into operation in September 2014 in Go Cong acerola raw material area, opening up new opportunities for specialty fruits.
The factory has an area of 5,200m2 and is equipped with a collection, screening and freezing system of acerola to bring Go Cong’s specialty acerola products to the world market. Until 2023, Nichirei Suco Vietnam has over 100 hectares of contracted farm applying Japan techniques in every steps from Farm to Market to ensure premium product quality.
The factory operation has created more jobs for local workers and contributed to increase the export turnover of Tien Giang province.
