The Vitamin C-packed superfood was discovered in Brazil and introduced to Japan in the 1980s. Acerola only grows in Vietnam and Brazil and Nichirei Foods is pioneering factories in both countries. The Nichirei Foods has been in the industry for over 40 years and is the world’s biggest Acerola supplier.

We have a self-contained “Farm to Product” ecosystem for quality control.
In 1984, Nichirei became the first Japanese company to successfully commercialize acerola. As a pioneer in the field of acerola-related business in Japan, we use distinctive methods both to manage acerola cultivation and for related R&D. In this way we are able to ensure that our products are safe and of the highest quality.
We have an intergrated quality control system to check every procedure from Farm to Market. With our own pesticide control system in farms and residue analysis for each origin, we ensure products reaching the market under our commitment to customers.
The ideal combination of regional soils, tropical climates, local farming practices in the Mekong Delta with Japanese agriculture techniques beautifully bring up the high nutrition and rich taste of Go Cong acerola compared to other regions in Vietnam and in the world.
Nichirei Suco Vietnam put acerola processing plant into operation in September 2014 in Go Cong acerola raw material area, opening up new opportunities for specialty fruits.
The factory has an area of 5,200m2 and is equipped with a collection, screening and freezing system of acerola to bring Go Cong’s specialty acerola products to the world market. Until 2023, Nichirei Suco Vietnam has over 100 hectares of contracted farm applying Japan techniques in every steps from Farm to Market to ensure premium product quality.
The factory operation has created more jobs for local workers and contributed to increase the export turnover of Tien Giang province.
